These guys do a ton to feed hungry communities. I've volunteered on my own, organized group activities and ran corporate campaigns with them. They're great.

I have done work with the Basketeers for several years. They are as grassroots as it gets, organized by a group of friends who wanted to give back to women in need. Led by Cheryl Stoneburgh, this is now a Canada-wide organization that is driven by passionate, kind people.

If you can get a group of people to go, clean up after some animals, learn about the amazing services that the THS provides and maybe cuddle an elderly dog or two- it's going to be a gamechanger.

Volunteer at a LTC Home/Senior Residence.
I've done drop-in visits, organized events and ran a letter writing campaign with several of the LTC's in the city. All you need is an hour or two a week and the desire to brighten up someone's day.

You can pick the chapter closest to you and contact them for ways to help. I've run a back-to-school drive with the Aurora chapter, we've sourced donations for kids in need. It's a great way to boost morale at work, to give back and to make a difference.
I like to give back in whatever ways that I can.

I volunteer in my personal life and I am lucky enough to run a volunteer organization through work.

My family has always had a strong mantra of helping others and volunteering your time is the easiest way to do this. You don't need a huge time commitment for most things and you'll probably walk out feeling better about yourself.

Let me know if you would like to be connected to a cool organization based on your interests.
